About the role

Talent Acquisition Manager — Greater London (in-house KJ Group). Self-employed profit-share role, not a wage. You keep 25% of an internal cost-per-hire performance pool KJ Recruitment allocates to you. You own an internal TA remit for a defined slice of KJ Group hiring — usually one or two of the operating companies (KJ Plumbers, KJ Heating, KJ Electricians etc.) — running direct-source hiring at scale to displace agency spend. You'll cover funnel design, sourcing (LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, referrals), employer brand execution on your assigned brand, screening, hiring manager partnering, offer management and onboarding hand-over to the KJ ops team. This is in-house TA work run on a profit-share model — not agency 360. Roles and pipeline sit in the KJ portal. Your share pool is calculated on hires delivered against target, weighted by cost-per-hire vs. agency benchmark. See the calculator above for realistic monthly ranges as you build the desk. Suits an experienced in-house TA who wants ownership of a brand's hiring engine without the corporate ladder. Not for a 360 agency recruiter — the model and metrics are different.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end hiring for the KJ operating company / companies allocated to you
  • Design and run the sourcing funnel (LinkedIn Recruiter, boards, referrals, community)
  • Execute employer brand content on the assigned brand with KJ marketing support
  • Partner honestly with hiring managers on realistic specs and interview loops
  • Screen and shortlist candidates against structured criteria
  • Manage offer, contract and onboarding hand-over to the KJ ops team
  • Report weekly on funnel, time-to-hire, cost-per-hire vs. agency benchmark
  • Continuously reduce reliance on external agencies for your remit

Requirements

  • Time-served in-house TA experience (not agency-only)
  • LinkedIn Recruiter fluency
  • Data-literate — comfortable reporting on funnel and cost-per-hire
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Own laptop and phone setup
  • Excellent written communication for employer brand and outreach

How working with KJ actually works

From apply to first paid job — four honest steps

  1. 1

    Apply in 60 secs

One tap on this page. No CV wall, no cover letter. Just your name, trade and coverage area.

  2. 2

    Sign your KJ contract

Plain-English self-employed profit-share agreement — 25–50% of job value depending on the role. E-signed. No tie-in, no exclusivity trap.

  3. 3

Log in to the KJ Portal

See the jobs allocated to you: address, scope, customer notes, agreed price. Accept the ones you want, decline the ones you don't.

  4. 4

Do the work, get paid your share

Complete the job, mark it done in the portal. KJ invoices the customer. Your share lands on the regular payment cycle — no chasing, no unpaid quotes.

The KJ Portal is rolling out through 2026 — until then, early hires are onboarded and dispatched directly by the KJ ops team. Same profit-share, same transparency.

Why KJ, not a company job

A plumber does 3–4 jobs a day; a surveyor 2–4; a solicitor a handful of matters. The client pays hundreds — often thousands. You take home a fraction. The company keeps the rest.
