About the role
Visa Specialist — Birmingham and West Midlands. Self-employed profit-share role, not a wage. You keep 25% of every case KJ Visas routes to you. We handle enquiry, KYC and pricing; you own the case from bundle to submission. You'll focus on business-immigration and sponsor-licence work: Skilled Worker sponsor licence applications and renewals for SME employers, CoS management, right-to-work audits, Global Talent, Innovator Founder, and business visitor advice. Some family route work fills gaps. Cases and sponsor accounts are allocated via the KJ portal with the client, target route / licence status and evidence checklist confirmed. Sponsor-licence tickets are meaningful (£1,500–£4,000+ per licence application, plus retainer work). Suits an OISC/IAA Level 2+ caseworker with business immigration experience. Not for someone without the appropriate authorisation — this is regulated advice.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit Skilled Worker sponsor licence applications and renewals
- Manage Certificates of Sponsorship (CoS) allocations and assignments
- Advise employers on right-to-work checks and compliance duties
- Handle Global Talent and Innovator Founder endorsement submissions
- Support family and business visitor route applications where they arise
- Log case activity accurately in the KJ portal (regulated audit trail)
- Escalate complex matters to the KJ regulated senior caseworker
- Follow AML/KYC, client care and complaints procedures
Requirements
- OISC / IAA Level 2 or above — current
- Sponsor licence and CoS management experience
- Excellent written English
- Right to work in the UK
- Professional indemnity insurance
- Smartphone / laptop for the KJ portal
How working with KJ actually works
From apply to first paid job — four honest steps
- 1
Apply in 60 secs
One tap on this page. No CV wall, no cover letter. Just your name, trade and coverage area.
- 2
Sign your KJ contract
Plain-English self-employed profit-share agreement — 25–50% of job value depending on the role. E-signed. No tie-in, no exclusivity trap.
- 3
Log in to the KJ Portal
See the jobs allocated to you: address, scope, customer notes, agreed price. Accept the ones you want, decline the ones you don't.
- 4
Do the work, get paid your share
Complete the job, mark it done in the portal. KJ invoices the customer. Your share lands on the regular payment cycle — no chasing, no unpaid quotes.
The KJ Portal is rolling out through 2026 — until then, early hires are onboarded and dispatched directly by the KJ ops team. Same profit-share, same transparency.
Why KJ, not a company job
A plumber does 3–4 jobs a day; a surveyor 2–4; a solicitor a handful of matters. The client pays hundreds — often thousands. You take home a fraction. The company keeps the rest.
